I found that with Native Instruments software, I got so far with the endeavour then ended up having to re-install the whole of Komplete. In retrospect it would have been better to put all the other vst stuff in the NI vst folder.

With a 64Bit OS, you really have to pay attention when installing VST Plugins. There's absolutely no standard for the installers. Some will ping the registry to find the default VST Plugins folder.-Some will put the dlls in a subfolder under the main install folder. Best vst plugins 2019. This is exactly one of the reasons that I began to extract plugin installer content to a folder (most time with innounp.exe), delete what I don't need and create then a zip file to install the plugins by hand on my PCs. A lot of beginner producers run into problems when trying to install VST plugins into FL Studio 20. Thankfully, this is an extremely easy process that was made a lot more streamline in the FL Studio 20 update. So without further ado, let’s look at how to install a plugin, get it loaded up in FL Studio and add it to the plugin database.

Possibly a stupid question, not sure.

My AUs are all organized into folders by the company that makes them (this happened automatically when I installed them) but my VSTs are a mess. Example: my NI plug-ins from Komplete 6 are all in a subfolder in the Audio Units folder in the Live browser called 'Native Instruments'. In the VST folder they're a mess and all mixed in with everything else. Can I just go in my VST folder on my HD and make an NI folder and put them in there and have Live recognize it the same as with the AUs?
Also, if I have the option where I have an AU and a VST of a particular plug-in (all the Native Instuments plug-ins for example) is one preferable to the other? I tried doing a forum search for 'AU vs. VST' and I'm sure you can guess how that turned out.
Thanks.
